If you are into books like Hush, Hush and City of Bones, you might like The Cry of the Icemark, (though I only recommend the first one) and Shiver, Dreaming Anastasia, (If you are into Patches, you'll be into the guy in there.) As far as adult books go, try the Women of the Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong. (Bitten, Stolen, Broken.) Hope I helped. Also, Kelley Armstrong has written a series for young adults as well. The Summoning, The Awakening, and The Reckoning. Eyes Like Stars and Perchance to dream are a serie of only two so far, the last comes out next month, I believe. My cat is breathing heavy and deep...?

My husband and I just came back from a local vet. We have a male orange tabby who is approx. 8 months old. I had noticed for the past few days his breathing has been quite shallow and heavy. He doesnt seem to have been exhibiting any other signs that I am aware of. We were quite disatisfied with the vet, as she gave us quite a long list of "possible" causes, and we are basically in the same position as before we took him. She scared us quite a bit by telling us that 2 of the ppssible causes could be either Leukemia or FIP. She explained that both are contagious to other cats, and we do have other cats. This was very frightening to hear because there is no cure for either of these diseases. However, she did mention that he was not showing multiple signs of either of those diseases. Basically the only common symptom is his heavy breathing....which could be a number of things. We are praying that it may just be a respiratory infection or something very treatable because we have no money at all to help him. If you might have any adivse on things we may try or specific ways we might be able to say for sure if it is FIP or leukemia. Our main concern is getting our kitty to feel better, but we are definetely concerned for our other cats health and safety. Please any advise is appreciated. Also, like i said, the only symptoms that we are really aware of is that he is breathing heavy and shallow, and he seems to lay around alot, but he has been like that since we got him. I honestly do not know how is appetite is because we have other cats so its hard to tell.

This is kind of a silly question, but I'm really troubled. I drink coffee and I know that can contribute to the yellowing of teeth but I only drink a cup a day. Deciding between occupational therapy and teaching.?

I’m a freshman in college and am still undecided. I know I want to work with children but am still teetering between OT and teaching (special ed or early childhood). There are several issues in both professions that I have been struggling with. One that is the most prevalent is age group, with teaching I would be guaranteed to work with kids but I know that there is a growing need for OTs to work with adult and geriatric patients. Probably one of the most difficult aspect of deciding for me is the coursework. Becoming an OT and a teacher means having very different cles. At first I was determined to become an OT. I have shadowed and volunteered in a variety of facilities with OTs, teachers and speech therapists. I liked the idea of being an OT because I am a creative individual and like the idea of forming unique plans and setting goals to help patients. Looking into the coursework for OT and possible majors at my university has made me wary. The requirements are growing and becoming more math and science-related. This is a problem for me as math/science is not my strong suite. I would like to have my dream career but also hopefully have a little less stress in college, taking cles that I can excel in. One other issue is the number of people working with, I think I would do best working one on one with the kids. OTs typically work with one patient at a time. Something that I think teaching offers more of is playfulness. Early childhood and special ed teachers have goals but seem to be able to goof of more and be more silly. I am a kid at heart and can appreciate fingerpaints , story books and all things in the clroom. The final issue is job availability and salary. OTs have a significantly higher salary and chance of getting a job. I would like to be able to decide soon to declare a major. All advice and experience is greatly appreciated!

What does this sound like to you....could blood be in the lungs?

My moms little dog is not doing so great right now. Ill just tell you the story. 2 nights ago he started this coughing sound and then yesterday he begun to spit out blood as he was coughing. It scared us to death and called a emergency vet and he took us in right away. He said there was nothing stuck in his throat because thats what we thought at first like maybe he ate something. His temperature was 103 so he was concerned about that. He gave him a shot for vomiting and then gave him some antibiotic pills...And then sent us home!!! I wanetd to get a x-ray because I really did think yesterday he had something stuck in his throat or wind pipe. Well today.....its totally different the wya he coughs makes me think he has blood inside his lungs. He has not puked blood up today thought thankfully. But it sounds like he has blood somewhere in him....Do you think someone like a neighbor may have kicked him and caused internal bleeding? I am very worried about him and been crying even though he is not my dog. Tomorrow were going to call the vet again and see what else they can do for him. What does this sound like to you? He did drink some water today and ate a little bit of canned food this morning to take him pill but now he won't eat anything. I am really worried about him.

I'm Mexican so it was crunchy rolled tacos with a little sour cream n crumbly Mexican cheese (cotija) then very thinly sliced cabbage, onions, radishes, slices of avocado and a hard boiled egg. All this was put in a bowl then hot chicken broth flavored with chipotle chiles and with small cubes of potatoes was poured over it. After the broth was poured I always pulled out the tacos cuz I like mine crunchy not soggy ;) then I would take a bite of taco n a spoonful of broth. So good, it's my favorite dish ever. Embaressing Cysts on !?

A couple sebaceous cysts appeared on my a while ago (im 16). They dont bother me, but they are EXTREMELY embarressing for me. Not bragging but im a kid that quite a few girls want to hook up with but im really embarressed about these things. I went to the derm and he said they can remove them with a quick little procedure. It's about how one is raised. Here in Australia most people think that the heavier accents only occur in inland, rural areas, but there are alot of people who live in slums or low socio-economic areas that have just as heavy accents. The reason why Australians who live on the coast, and in the cities sound more like a British accent, is just because that's what our accent sounds like when you speak clearly and properly.

Starting out with hermit ?

I use to have a some. We kept them in a gl bowl. Had sand at the bottom and some of the little rocks people use in fish tanks. Im sure u can fit a good number in a 10 gallon. We had about 5 in our bowl and it wasnt tht big of a bowl. We used sponges for them to drink from because if u use a dish of water they can drown. They squeez the sponge and drink the water from their claws. And we didnt cover the top.. But we did have a time where someone was sleeping on the couch knocked the bowl off the table and we had to do a crab hunt all day. We decided not to give ours baths(my mom looked it up and it said to drop them in a small amount of water for a few secs) but every time we did the one who had a bath woud die. They will need some extra shells laying around the tank so they can move out and into a more suitable home

Computer shutting down and flashing?

I have a emachines W3400. I just installed a new Sata hdd and a IDE lighton disc drive. It was working fine for a while then while I was doing something it made a loud pop and shu off and the power on led just blinks untill I unplug the tower and plug it back in. Then it does it durning startup. I unplugged the hdd and it continued. I unplugged the new disc drive too and it seems to be working fine now. Any ideas on the culprit?

I have a 1987 Dodge Raider aka Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun/whatever the hell you want to call it. This weekend, I decided to put new coolant in. Since, it's old a piece of the radiator's neck chipped off. So the radiator cap isn't fully secure. Some of the fluid leaks out. Another problem I have is that the inside seems to be rusted since all the fluid is orange as it leaks out. Is there a way to fix that? My friends suggested that I get a new radiator, but I wouldn't know where to get one since it is an old model. Is there anywhere I can find one for my Raider? But I've been thinking about buying a car for about $1000 dollars since I can't afford a new one. Possibly the Mk1 GTI or Beetle. No where to be found though. What should I do? Growing pains or injured rotator cuff or other?

Hello everyone... my life has been frustrating the last 9 months due to a hurt shoulder. Back in April of 2007, (I was 13) I injured my arm whilst pitching. It was a pretty sharp pain. About 2 weeks later, I talked to a doctor, he took x-rays, (from what I saw, there was a space between my arm and shoulder which I believe he said was larger than usual) anyway, he basically just said wait a year, don't do any heavy throwing, try not to throw. So I stopped pitching ever since then. It's now the next season (practice) and my arm still hurts. It hurts less, but sometimes hurts more days than other. In gym cl for warmups, I do situps rather than push ups because it hurts on my upperarm (humerus?) or shoulder. My mom said she recalled the doctor saying it was growing pains... but wouldn't growing pains not take as long to heal? The doctor did ask me if my heels had been starting to hurt and what not. I want to know what the problem is, and if I should be able to throw a baseball next yr.

What's a creative way to arrange antique photos on a wall?

I'm 16 and I have a very bland white wall in my bedroom that I want to cover up with a dozen or so antique black and white photos that I've found. Killing Floor downloaded wrong/badly and Steam wouldn't let me defrag, so I went to delete it so I could reload. I hit delete local content, and nothing happened. I repeated this to no avail. Hello, I'm a freshman at the University of Oklahoma currently in my second semester. I changed my major from professional pilot to air traffic control. I also, plan to join Air Force ROTC next semester. uming I successfully complete the program, if I were to be lucky enough to receive a pilot slot, after my contract is up would it be possible to work for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller if I already had the education from the University. Also, if I don't get a pilot slot (which is most likely), does the Air Force offer a career for officers in Air Traffic Control? I would approach her at her lunch table but I don't know if her friends would accept me or tease me about it and embarr me in front of her. I know it should only matter what she thinks about me, but like I said I am shy and don't want to be teased and disliked by her friends. Judge Let A Non-Paying Tenant Stay In Rental Property?

I had a Judge that did not seem to know much about rental property when I filed an Eviction for non payment and for damages and the tenant had only been there for 6 weeks. The Judge told me that she couldn't have done damages in that short of time and he didn't even want to see my pictures I had or receipts and he told us to go in the hall & work it out. We went Feb.9th, so in that case she didn't pay the rent until Feb 19,2010. I filed again in March for non-payment and this time I got the Eviction, but the tenant file a Pauper's Affidavit. She did not put up her bond money for one months rent in 5 days, so I filed a Writ Of Possession. The same Judge denied it. I resubmitted it and thank god it was a different Judge taking his place that day. It was granted four days later. Isn't there a way to file a complaint against a Judge for this?

When can you call yourself a physicist?

I'm currently a student pursuing a physics bachelors degree. According to some definitions, if you've had a professor cite from your research papers, you can call yourself a physicist. I've already accomplished that (published a research paper, which was cited by my mentoring professor), but I feel only someone so arrogant would give themselves that title so early. Others say that you can never call yourself a physicist unless you are recognized for distinct contributions of yours, while others say that you receive title once you complete a phD and a post-doc. Since it is not a regulated profession, how would one know when it is appropriate to call themselves a physicist?

I think that Lebron should run the point, Wade the shooting guard, and Miller the small forward. Wade and Lebron are great iso players but not great shooters so don't think they need a traditional point guard to start with them. Plus basketball is about mismatches. If they use that backcourt against Orlando, LA, and Boston that would mean Nelson, Rondo, Fisher would have to defend either Wade or Miller and none of these guys would be able to do it one on one.

Im 18 and just last week I was driving to my friends house where I had just been to take another friend home. As I was driving down the street to my final destination I drove by an SUV cop who u-turned (I was speeding) and pulled into the parking lot i pulled into. I immediately got out of my car as did he (never turned his sirens on) he asked me why i was going so fast, and then asked for my registration. He then asked if I had drank, I said no and he made me do an eye test, and straight line test, and a balance test. I believe i ped all 3, but the officer still said he had reason to believe I had been drinking and said he could give me a dui but instead he'd give me an m.i.p. he asked me again about drinking and nervously I mutterd that I had 2 beers. He wrote me up and let me carry on with my night. I was never breathalyazed, and no alcohol was found on me or in my car. I was shakey from being nervous and first, and never mentioned that the last beer i had consumed was over 5 and half hours ago, I feel as though the officer had pressured me with the close threat to a d.u.i, i feel like i really got screwed for drinking even though i tried to be as safe as possible as i was not inebriated in no way. Is there any possibility of getting this dropped?

Ipod Touch Help Pleasee?

So about 3 days ago i was playing an ipod touch game, while i was in the bath (silly, i know), and it fell mostly in for about 3/4 a second. Right when it fell in, it immediatley turned black. But from closer look, it still had a very faint apple logo in it. Then i immediately tried to dry it with a hairdryer (I dont know if that was a good idea or not, but i was just trying to think fast), then later that night, the screen went completely blank. So i put it in a bowl of rice and its been in there for the past 3 days but it still wont turn on. Ive tried to put it on the charger, but i onl put it on there for about 10 seconds each time so i dont know if i should leave it on the charger or what. my brothers got dropped into a swimming pool for about 2 minutes and it works just fine now with slight water damage. I only dropped mine in a little over half for almost a second. What should I do???????????????

We have three cats that use one litterbox and we have no problem with the smell. We use Fresh Step multi cat for litter and for food they eat Taste of the Wild. Purina is crap in a bag. I would look into high quality foods that don't have corn, wheat, soy, by-products, or grains. When the cats were on Purina food they started shedding more and their poo stunk a lot worse amoung other things.

How do I clean white Plastic?

So I have two white blink-182 guitar picks and I went to see my Dad and Brother in Toronto for 10 days in the beginning of June. My brother is a total **** and actually holds Picks in his mouth and like sucks on them. That seems to have stained my picks. Can trauma to the forehead cause black eyes?

My mom just came by from mexico with my dad. She had two blacks eyes and a large lump on her forehead. They were gone for two weeks and she said it happened on the first night of the trip. Her reasoning for the black eyes were that she had been sleep walking, fell down, and woke up to my dad icing her head. She has no history of sleepwalking. She fell down in an apparently open area onto a tile flour. She weighs about 140 pounds, and is about five feet four inches tall. I ask her if she had the symptoms of a basilar skull fracture and she did not have any. I just don't believe it is possible for an injury of that magnitude to be cause by simply falling or ping out. Both of my parents are alcoholics. I really want to know if my dad hit her. My mom has also admitted that her ex husband was abusive. I like to think of my dad as a good man, but her story doesn't seem to add up. I plan to call a doctor tomorrow to see if it's possible for head trauma to cause two black eyes. My opinion will be most effected by the answers of the doctor. It is also possible that she is on blood thinners. I read that blood thinners could possibly cause excess bruising. Any advice would be appreciated.
