Is it okay to let my mallard duckling swim in my pool that has chlorine and algecide in it?

they have been swimming in it all day and it seems fine but i dont want to let them swim if it is bad. we havent put any chlorine or algecide in it for 2 days now though, so do you think it is okay? any help is greatly appreciated!
