What's a creative way to arrange antique photos on a wall?

I'm 16 and I have a very bland white wall in my bedroom that I want to cover up with a dozen or so antique black and white photos that I've found. The photos are pretty small; the largest is only 5.5" x 3.5" and the smallest is 3.5" x 2.5". I want to arrange them in a way that will enhance their aesthetic beauty as much as possible, but without costing too much or requiring ridiculous amounts of work, and especially without damaging them. I was thinking of attaching them to a string with mini clothesline hangers but I'm not sure if they'll just fade into the wall that way or if it will look just plain ridiculous. Has anyone done this before and have any tips?
